1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
Our 1st Valentine's Day in 2016, my husband (Andrew) had planned a special first Valentine's date night. During the afternoon, we found a dog shivering in the snow in my neighborhood. We spent the whole day making sure he was reunited with his family. We missed dinner and the movie while working to get him home! While it wasn't the first Valentine's Day we anticipated, it was definitely a memorable one.

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
The 2 most important items in our kitchen are... 1) Refrigerator with ice cube maker at the door. Our rescue dog, Kona, is obsessed with ice cubes. Every time I fill up my water, she always gets a special "ice treat". 2) Toddler helper tower. My almost 3 year-old daughter, Claire, has become quite the helper in the kitchen. She loves climbing up on her tower and watching everything we do.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
My platform is Paws to Stop Puppy Mills and most people assume that dogs are my favorite animal. Of course I love dogs, but sloths are actually my favorite. I was able to see a sloth on a trip to Costa Rica and my husband gifted me a sloth meet and greet at the Pittsburgh Aviary. My dream for retirement is to move to Central America and rescue both dogs and sloths!

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
I have the ability to step up daily and demonstrate leadership through my career as a Registered Nurse. I obtained my Master's Degree in Nursing Leadership and Health Systems Management while working full-time. Outside of my career, the leadership opportunity I am most proud of is my advocacy for Victoria's Law (a law that will ban the commercial sale of puppies in pet stores here in Pennsylvania).

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
My husband and I absolutely love to travel. We have been able to have some incredible adventures (including swimming with sharks) during our travels. We traveled to New Zealand for our honeymoon and my one regret from that trip was not trying bungee jumping. We both chickened out! My goal is to go back one day and cross this off of my bucket list.
