1.Tell us a funny story about a date night out with your husband.
"Devotion,” it drove me to create “Saving Smart for 5 Generations!” 79% of women have financial stress and stress contributes to heart disease. These facts were my mother’s reality in her last years. I am now helping other women have financial fitness - a “work out” for their finances and heart!
2.What are the (2) most important things in your kitchen and why?
“Say Yes to the Dress” - I'll admit it: I am a dressaholic! My family has watched this show so many times that even my husband will critique the dresses. Growing up I learned the skill of sewing dresses for myself. I just can't imagine a world without dresses!
3.What do people assume about you that isn’t true?
Being too analytical which would have made me a great lawyer, but it can make things difficult like trying to decide how to answer these questions! Being analytical has taught me when making decisions, the most important thing is to listen to my heart it never steers me wrong.
4.Tell us a time you demonstrated leadership skills.
What does not kill you will make you stronger! Imagine living half of your life thinking you’re not smart, then one day you’re finally diagnosed with dyslexia! That’s my story! From that day, I never looked back! I became a writer and published a book for children with learning disabilities.
5.If you had no fear, what would you try?
Saturday -- If Grandma came to visit, it was always Saturday afternoon! My grandmother had a profound impact on my life. She is the reason that I went on several mission trips and the reason I have a true sense of unconditional love. Burned in my heart are many Saturdays!
